Carnac Street

A humble timber worker’s cottage transformed into a spacious, contemporary family home with strong connections to outdoors.

New living and dining spaces are at the heart of the ground floor extension, with a large kitchen island bench a focal and social gathering point.

The extension is clad in white painted linear cladding in reference to the original weatherboard cottage while a series of timber blades animate the facade.  Timber framed construction enabled an efficient construction program and a malleability in dimensional tolerances, resulting in a space that feels crisp and precise.
